Biography
Lauren K. Weichert is an Associate Attorney at Grinke Stewart Law. Due to the sensitive nature of family law matters, she strives to provide compassionate representation during an emotionally challenging time in her client’s lives. Through an empathetic approach to family law, Lauren is determined to zealously advocate for her clients and achieve their desired results.
Lauren was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Frisco, Texas. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2022, where she graduated cum laude. In addition to earning her J.D., Lauren has also taken specialized courses in Family Conflict and Mediation, and earned her Dispute Resolution Certificate of Completion at SMU. Prior to attending law school, she received a Bachelor of Science and Arts degree in Biology, along with a Certificate in Business Foundations from The University of Texas at Austin in 2019. During college, Lauren worked as an undergraduate teaching assistant, and received the 2019 Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Award.
During law school, Lauren discovered her passion for family law through participating in the VanSickle Family Law Clinic as both a Student Associate and Chief Counsel where she assisted low-income clients with various family law matters including divorce and child custody disputes. She also served as the VanSickle Family Law Clinic’s Summer Fellow where she handled the clinic’s ongoing cases throughout the summer term. Lauren has also worked as a Family Law Clerk in Frisco, Texas where she assisted high net-worth clients in complex, highly contested family law matters. While at SMU, she volunteered with Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program and Texas Law Help. Lauren was also a member of the Family Law Association, a member of Women in Law, and served both as a Student Mentor and the Student Organization Chair of the Student Bar Association.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys live music, traveling, reading mystery novels, and trying new restaurants with her friends.
